Cavallino Treporti

The littoral includes the districts of Cavallino, Treporti, Cà Savio and Punta Sabbioni. Fifteen kilometres of peninsula set between the Adriatic and the North Lagoon of Venice, with a beach of golden sand as wide as 400 metres in some parts, carefully looked after and safeguarded in order to provide high quality open air tourism.

This is, in fact, the largest European open air holiday centre of its kind, a tourist park providing both amenities and facilities and safeguarding the environment: an careful balance between nature and tourism highly appreciated by the guests, who return regularly year after year.

The lagoon, at the back of Cavallino, completes the picture, a world that has remained miraculously intact, consisting of flat stretches of water, cane thickets, fish farms, natural habitats for water birds ,such as herons, swans, black-winged stilts and ducks.

A complete natural world, rich and precious, to be enjoyed by boat, on foot or by bicycle, wandering amid ancient farming and fishing villages. And a few minute's ferry ride from Punta Sabbioni is Venice: a brief trip across the lagoon and past the islands to St Mark's Basin is the best of ways to view the city - from the sea.
